The Ethernet port is usually the largest socket on the computer (about twice the height of the others). You run your Ethernet cable from the computers Ethernet socket to a similar socket on a device called a Router. The Router is connected to your telephone line or cable TV or however you have chosen to connect to the internet. You will need to have set up an account and pay for the Internet connection with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) who is often your telephone or cable TV supplier. The ISP will often include the Router as part of the connection package. Computers (particularly laptops) will usually have built-in wireless connectivity, for example all recent Macs come with AirPort, which will connect to a wireless router without the need for a an Ethernet cable. This means that a laptop can be used anywhere within the range of the router. the ethernet cable connects you to lan
if you have a router, then take a Ethernet cable and hook it up to your computer and your router

Purchase an ethernet cable (I prefer a cat 6 but cat 5 will work). Next you need an internet connection and it has a monthly fee.. If you have a computer hooked up to the internet you have an internet connection. Plug the ethernet cable into the back of the PS3 and run the ethernet cable to your cable modem. Unplug your computer and plug in the PS3. If you want to keep both always wired then you need to purchase a router. Then you plug the modem into the router's in spot and both the PS3 and Computer into the router. If you only have dial up for your computer I have no Ideal if a connector is possible.
Direct internet connection via a ethernet cord are generally faster and more reliable than wireless connections.
A cell Phone can not use the PS3 Bluetooth system for your online connection on the PS3. The PS3 systems design will only allow the internet connection to be ethernet cable or WiFi and not the the USB port connections
Ethernet.
How about you plug it in and find out for yourself.
no but both a Windows and PC and a Mac can share their Internet connection. If the G4 does not have a wireless Airport connection then the Ethernet cable can be used. (See links below)
First make sure your computer is connected to a connection and then plug your Ethernet cord into your xbox then connect it to your computer! if you don't have spot in your computer for the ethernet cord to go in......then your screwed
A PS3 has WiFi and you can put the router next to your modem. The only thing the back of a PS3 uses for the internet is for a wired connection with an ethernet cable to your router or modem instead of a WiFi connection
