most vehicles will have a label above the radiator that will show the degree advance, spark plug gap, vacuum diagram, routing of belts and a statement of particular notes about what should be done before timing (for example disconnect brown wire with black stripe or disconnect some other feature so the computer doesn't try to change timing when your turning the distributer). The torque specs for a 2003 Chevy S10 4x4 wheel bearing is 28 ft. lbs. This is equal to 38 N.m.
1.75 pounds or 28 oz
28/30 degrees on the dwell, the timing differs depending on the vehicle, start at 8 degrees before top dead center, it should run
Dwell should be 28-32 (approx. .016) Don't remember timing settings sorry
big job you have to remove trans or at least back it out enough to remove torque converter cause its behind it
My 1998 S10 2.2L standard 5 spd averaged 28 mpg.
28 newton meters
Point gap is 0.019 Point Dwell is 28--32 ( DEGREES ) plug gap is 0.035 Timing is 4 to 8 degrees BTDC / Before Top Dead Center
Your best bet is to go to the Chevy dealer, and ask the customer service person if they would give you a print out of the wirning diagram that you would need. Most of the Chevy dealers are pretty good at helping you out.
The transmission will be the same because from 1982-1990 GM used the same transmission in the S10 Blazer and S10 Pickups from what i have been told is even though the engines are the same size the trans might not be interchangable with your 83 model. because im going through the same problem my 85 s10 needs a 700r4 ,but it want interchange with every model of 2.8 engines,so if you know the answer to this please let me know.
I believe 89's and up have 28 spline axles.
You need 28 to 40 pounds of pressure. No less Then 28 or it will not run. Spec is 49.2 psi ± 5 psi
