No, you do not need additional schooling. There are grooming schools, or you can be taught by a groomer, you can also teach yourself - although this can take forever!!! You do not, however need formal schooling to be a groomer for dogs.
You only need a business license to become a professional dog groomer in NC. There may be some licensing you can obtain to appear more qualified and professional, but this is optional.
