Therefore, the total number of Filipinos as of July 2008 can be estimated at 89.57 million. At the end of the year, the population can be estimated at 90.57 million. The National Statistics Office in the Philippines, the agency that conducted the 2007 census of population, projected the Philippine population to be 90.46 million in 2008, based on the 88.57 million result of the 2007 census.
