The eclipse lasts for 1 hour 35 minutes, but will NOT be visible to the naked eye. The brightness of the full moon will be very slightly dimmed, but the Moon will not become dark as we expect during a total lunar eclipse.

When is the next lunar eclipse going to occur?

"Next" is a moving target, of course. This post was written on June 6, 2012, and the "next" lunar eclipse will be a penumbral lunar eclipse on November 28, 2012. In a penumbral lunar eclipse, the Moon becomes a little darker than normal, but generally not enough darker to be noticeable. There will be a partial lunar eclipse on April 25, 2013, and a couple more penumbral eclipses. The next total lunar eclipse will be April 15. 2014.

In how many years does a full lunar eclipse appear?

There are generally two solar eclipses and two lunar eclipses each year. Of the lunar eclipses, about 40% are "total"; the remainder are partial or penumbral. A lunar eclipse is visible from one-half of the Earth's surface. So on average, and weather permitting, you will see a total lunar eclipse about every third year.
