There are a variety of ways for connecting a standalone PC to another PC that is connected to the internet depending on the capabilities of the two computers. Examples are Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
Web-DBMS (or Web-based Database Management System) is a general term for applications which provide a web-based interface to one or more databases. Web-DBMS allows the user to administrate his/her database from home, office, at campus, or on the road. It can be accessed from any platform, including PC, Unix, and Macintosh systems. HTML-based graphical interface of the Web-DBMS applications is easy to use for both developers and users, and it allows to manage databases in a standardized fashion.
On Windows you go to Start > Run > Type "cmd" without the quotes ENTER type "ping ", followed by the IP address of the server you want to ping. ex. "ping www.google.be" ENTER The response time is your ping. (basically it's a measurement of time needed to send a signal between your PC & another PC or device.)
It depends on the parts in question. Typically, the parts in an All-In-One PC are smaller than those you would find in a standalone tower.
Straight Cable is used to connect a device to a different type of devices Eg: PC to a Switch PC to a Hub Switch to a Router E.t.c. Cross Cable is used to connect a device to a similar type of devices Eg: PC to PC Switch to Switch E.t.c.
It means that it is by itself - as opposed to being bundled with other applications for example.

what i think, regrding the different types of DBMS based on the type of organisation of data are: 1)An Enterprise DBMS which is designed for scalability and high performance. It must be capable of supporting very large databases, a large number of concurrent users, and multiple types of applications. 2)A Departmental DBMS, sometimes referred to as a workgroup DBMS, supports small to medium sized workgroups within an organization, and typically runs on a Unix, Linux, or Windows 2000 (or NT) server. 3)A Personal DBMS is designed to be used by a single user, typically on a low- to medium-powered PC platform. A personal DBMS product is suited only for small scale projects and should not be used to deploy multi-user applications. 4)A Mobile DBMS is a specialized version of a departmental or enterprise DBMS. It is designed to be used by remote users who are not usually connected to the network(eg:laptop or handheld device, such as a Palm PDA or PocketPC). Furthermore, the mobile DBMS provides a mechanism for synchronizing remote database changes to a centralized, enterprise or departmental database server.
Windows media center and windows tablet PC editions are available only on supported hardware devices and its not available as standalone products
First, you need a modem, either built into the PC or as a standalone peripheral device. Then you need software to talk to the modem. Then you need an ISP that still offers dial-up service.
you can if you upload the right operating system needed to run that PC game or the elements needed.
A hell of a PC is needed for The Sims 3!

A personal DBMS is designed to be used by a single user, typically on a low- to medium-powered PC platform. Lotus Approach, Microsoft Access and dBase are examples of personal database software. Of course, the major DBMS vendors also market personal versions of their more high-powered solutions, Personal Oracle and DB2 Everyplace for example. Sometimes the low cost of a personal DBMS causes misguided attempts to choose a personal DBMS for a departmental or enterprise solution. But do not be lured by the low cost. A personal DBMS product is suited only for small scale projects and should not be used to deploy multi-user applications.
