moon
globe, spherical
Newton was first claim that the earth is ellipsoid instead of spherical...
No, an object not moving relative to Earth is not a blue shifted object. With no relative motion, an object will not be subject to Doppler effect and will not red or blue shift. For an object to be blue shifted, the distance between the object and Earth must be decreasing. The object must be closing on Earth or vice versa.
Gravity
The Earth isn't actually perfectly spherical. It is slightly flattened at the poles. To find evidence of Earth's round shape, pictures taken from space are good secondary data to provide evidence.
Because it's spherical object
A globe is any spherical, or approximately spherical object. It can be as small as a ball or as large as the Sun (or larger). The Earth is one example of a globe.
Such an object is called a planet. We live on the planet Earth.
globe, spherical
When used as nouns, earth means soil, whereas globe means any spherical (or nearly spherical) object. Earth is also proper noun meaning the third planet from the sun.
Most often, the word globe refers to a spherical representation of the earth or of the constellations with a map on the surface. Otherwise it is any spherical or rounded object.
WHAT demonstrates that the Earth is spherical?!
The Earth is geoid THE EARTH IS SPHERICAL
First he realised that eclipses of the moon were caused by the earth coming between the sun & the moon. The earth's shadow on the moon was always round, which would be true only if the earth was spherical.
-- the mass of the object -- the distance between the object and the earth's center (or the object's height off the surface)
It is gravity.
The Earth is almost spherical. It's slightly squashed, or oblate.
