If your transmission has a modulator it is on the side of the trans and it has a nipple on it for the vaccum line. I you. Mark
on the passenger side in the back of the tranny the vaccum line goes to it.
The modulator is held into the transmission with a stamped metal "fork" that is bolted into the transmission. Remove the bolt, remove the vaccum hose and wiggle/turn the modulator to extract it. Be careful during the removal because there is a short pin in the modulator that has to be replaced when you put the new one in. .
There should be a vaccum source / T that is screewed into the back top side of the intake manifold and that line will plug in there. It must go to a vaccum source at all times when engine is idleing. ( direct vaccum )
modulator is round and located on the drivers side of the transmission. modulator unscrews from the transmission if it is a 700 R4 It unbolts with 2 7/16 bolts if it is a turbo 350 Unplug the vaccum line remove the modulator replace with new modulator hook up new vaccuum line
probably the power brakes if you have them and the vaccum modulator on the tranny.
there should only be 1 vaccum line to the tranny and it hooks at the back of the tranny on the passenger side to the vaccum modulator and the other end should hook to a vaccum line off the intake manifold.
Vaccum line has come off the modulator at the rear driverside of the trans or at the intake manifold.
A diode modulator is a type of AM modulator constructed using diodes. One type of diode modulator is the ring modulator shown in the image.
A diode bridge modulator is one kind of balanced modulator.
