It all depends on the condition of the gun, I own a 1941 as well given to me by my great grandfather in fair condition and that as it sits is running at between 900-1100$ so being yours is in good condition should fetch a great deal more in value aspects.
Since we have no way of knowing what condition it might be in, we can only say anywhere from $250 for parts to $1400 for near-mint. sales@countrygunsmith.net
The Lefever Nitro special shotgun was made from 1921-1948.During this time frame the lefever shotguns were owned by the Ithaca Firearms Company. The price range of your shotgun if it has between 60%-90% of its original factory finish remaining is from 300-450 dollars.I hope you find this info helpful.
Built between 1921-1927. By Ithica. Need to know single or double trigger, and checkering on stock, and forearm. Standard double trigger, standard checkering in good to excellent condition worth 1200.00. (Avid double barrel collector) Looking for nitro special 16 ga or 20 ga and Uncle Dan 20 ga. The question of the Lefever Nitro Special can be simply answered by a Blue Book of Guns. 12ga. double trigger in this era 1921-1948 at 70% may bring 400.00 to 500.00. 16ga. has to deduct 10%. An Uncle Dan Lefever will bring considerably more money since it was built by Lefever and not Ithaca, NY. Your s/n indicates it was mfg'd around 1921 to 1922. A friend recently purchased one in fair to good conditon for $150. By-the-way, your Lefever was mfg'd by Ithaca Arms Co after they purchased the assets of Lefever Arms Co in 1916. I just bough one built in 1937 in very good original condition for $210.00. It locks up tight as new, the checkering is not worn, and the geese on the sides and the printing on top the barrels is excellent. They can be found cheap if you have the patience to wait. This one shoots great. A much better gun than the new ones from Turkey, for half the price!
The value of a Savage shot barrel 12 gauge single trigger shotgun depends on its condition. This gun in excellent condition is valued between 450.00 and 550.00 as of 2014.
"Uncle Dan" Lefever started making shotguns in Syracuse, NY, in 1885. In 1916 the company was sold to Ithaca, but the Lefever product line was continued until 1948. Approximately 72,000 guns were produced before the Ithaca takeover, so yours should be one of the last "real" Lefevers. I don't know how "fairly good shape" translates to an NRA condition, but if it is fully functional, may have minor parts replaced or repaired, and has 80% or the original finish on all wood and metal parts, it would be NRA Good. The Blue Book value for a DS grade in 80% condition is $850. There is a 50% premium for the 16 gauge and you can add another 10% if it has a single selective trigger. I have been collecting Lefevers and DM Lefevers for 30 years- If you would like some fair and honest advise I am more than happy to any questions or give you an honest appriasal of your Lefever shotgun- weather it is a Nichols Lefever, Barber Lefever, Dangerfield Lefever, Ellis Lefever, or Lefever Arms Company, or the DM Lefever's feel free to give me a call at 419-450-2454 Paul or email me at endever4us@aol.com Ohio
Western Arms Company was a division of Ithaca that made inexpensive shotguns that appear identical to the Ithaca made Lefever Nitro Special from 1929 to 1946. Yours was made in 1932. Only 400 guns Western Arms Long Range Guns were produced that year, the worst of the Depression. Single trigger versions range fro $150 to $400 in useable to excellent condition.

Are we talking about a auto-5 shotgun,or a BPS(browning pump shotgun),or a over-under shotgun(citori, or superposed)These answers would help me determine the value of your shotgun which was made in 1980.
