My "Captain Fantastic" pinball machine is in near mint condition. It was never in an arcade. I've been offered as much as $2500 cash. I've also had people laugh and say it's not worth more then $750. When I laughed in return and told them for $750 each I'd take two, they shushed up pretty fast. Keep in mind, there was an arcade version and a less expensive home version. The home version isn't worth nearly as much. Arcade models are sought after. There are 10 rare machines that have the designers signature on them. Those are worth a bundle.
According to the Mr. Pinball, Pinball List & Price Guide 2008, it's worth around $550, but that depends on the condition of the machine, both how good it looks and how well it works. You said it's in good condition so you should expect to get about that for it.
Well, according to 'valuemycollectibles.co.uk, you are looking of a price around £6000 - £10000.
$1000 to $5000 depends
I think about £250 to £300 I'd be interested in it, but don't know how you can contact me - I'm new to all this ! Lawrence The answer is $1199 or about £600, which I'm getting ready to pay an eBay seller for just such a machine. So that's the answer by definition. Willing buyer, willing seller. As an aside, this has always been my favorite pinball machine from the 70's and I've been looking off and on for years for a good one to come up for sale.
