If this set is the 1980 Dollar Souvenir Set in a big Green envelope. This is the 3 coin SBA set with the P, D and S Mint marks. They are very common with an average retail value of $7.00.
It's worth one dollar.
None of the SBA Dollar coins struck for general circulation (except the 1979-P Near Date) have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums
The coin is a SACAGAWEA dollar NOT a S.B.A. dollar. 1999 was the last year for the S.B.A. coins. 2000 is the first year for the Sacagawea dollar. It's just a dollar, spend it.
56 dollars I have a set of three "the new American dollar first day of issue" July 2, 1979. What is the going value and where would I sell it?
It's worth one dollar.
They're worth one dollar each.
Believe it or not, it's worth exactly one US dollar.
One dollar.
They're worth one dollar each.
They're worth one dollar each.
One dollar.
No F mint marks, no gold in the coin and it's $1.00
The same as a D, one dollar and it's not gold.
The P or D denote where the coin was made. P=Philadelphia Pennsylvania, D=Denver Colorado. If by "gold coin" you're referring to the Sacajawea dollar, it's brass, not gold - just golden colored.
It's still worth one dollar.
They're not silver, they're brass. The last silver dollars were made in 1935. In any case Sacajawea dollars are not rare at all, and any that you get in change or from a bank are only worth face value.
