This stamp is still quite common, but I would hesitate to use it on letters, except to
someone who might appreciate it. It should be worth more than 3 cents, but it would
hard to find a buyer. I think in another 10 years, dealers may be paying
10 cents for it.
Used , your stamp has negligible value ( less than 2o cent retail) , but please do not throw it away! Keep it in your stamp collection for your children or yourself when you have more time. If you have more than one, you may be able to trade it for stamps of similar value. Or give it to a collector friend. Collectors always appreciate the thought even it they do not need the stamp.

Don't assume that every woman on a US coin is Susan B. Anthony!! Your coin is called a Morgan dollar and carries a picture of Miss Liberty, as in "Statue of..."

If you read any decent history book you'll discover that in the 19th century women didn't have the right to vote and SBA was hated for her efforts to bring about equality. The chances that a men-only Congress would honor her on a coin would have been less than zero, even if it weren't illegal to depict a living person on US Coins.
That is Scott number US 784 issued in 1936. You can purchase a mint copy for 40 cents and a used copy for 15 cents. Consulting a good catalog will help you properly identify the specific stamp and find an estimated value for it.
Check that coin again. The small SBA dollar was only minted in 1979-81 and 1999.
Check that coin again. If it's dated 1896, then that's a Morgan dollar with an image of Liberty on the front. The Susan B. Anthony dollar wasn't introduced until 1979. The mint mark on a MORGAN dollar is on the reverse side, near the bottom, just above the letters "do" in the word "dollar."
yes i can but i choose not to tell you! hahahahahahaha
Queen Isabella of Spain appeared on the commemorative quarter distributed at the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893. A half dollar featuring Christopher Columbus was also issued. These coins were sold for $1 apiece but it seems everyone in those days must have been bargain hunters. Many people were willing to pay double face value for the half dollars but few would pay 4 times the value of a quarter, so today the quarter is much scarcer and more expensive than the half.
Actually two women have appeared on US paper money. Quote from the Related Link: "A portrait of Martha Washington graced the series 1886 and 1891 $1.00 Silver Certificates. The first, First Lady was also featured, along with her husband George, on the series 1896 $1 Silver Certificate. This bill is part of a group of notes that are often referred to as the "Educational Series." These early, large size notes display beautiful engravings and are highly sought after by collectors. The U.S. Series 1869-1878 $10.00 notes featured an engraving of the painting Introduction of the Old World to the New World, or Pocahontas Presented at Courtby T.A. Liebler."If you include coins, three other women have been depicted: Susan B. Anthony on the ill-fated dollar coin of 1979-81 / 1999; Sacajawea on the current Native American dollar; and Helen Keller on the Alabama state quarter.
