For starters, if the serial number is in the 187,000 range, it is a 1903 vintage Model 1894 verus a "Model 94". Modifying (altering) and old Winchester Model 1894 to mount a modern scope is extremely detrimental to the collector appeal and value. Typically, the value will only be about 25% - 40% of its original (unaltered) value.
