Believe it or not, not every coin with a, S, mintmark is rare. Although most S mint types are harder to get, this is not. Lots of factors contribute to the value of any coins value.

Condition, mintage, and where it was minted. Depending on your coins condition your penny can range anywhere from .15-6 dollars. Although a coin is worth only what someone else will pay for it. A common coin like this is great to give to children and grandchildren to maybe get them started with this interesting hobby.
