If you have a 1979 dollar coin, it will have a (very unflattering) picture of women's rights activist Susan B. Anthony on the front. These coins were minted in very large numbers and have no added value.
Also please note that, as you can confirm by looking at your pocket change, ALL U.S. coins have the word LIBERTY on them so that's not an identifying motto. In addition all dollars up till 2007 (except for 1976 Bicentennial dollars) have an eagle on the back so that is also not an identifying feature.

No, 1924 is a Standing Liberty quarter, Washington quarters started in 1932.

No Standing Liberty dollars have been made by the US, the only dollar coins struck in 1836 are the Gobrecht dollars which have Liberty Seated on the front and a large flying eagle on the back and they are rare. Look at the coin again and post new question.
