In excellent condition, Vintage Guitar Price Guide book value is $2600-3000. That is a retail store price - dealers will pay less, eBay will bring less. If you want to sell it, please email me at www.vintagemandolin.com. Thanks!
In the thousands, depending on the quality of the wiring. You should ask how much they would offer you at a local pawn shop, and then jack the price some. Also, there are plenty of resources online where you can find relative pricing for antique, vintage, and high demand Guitars. If i didn't already play a les paul, and find that i liked my prs better, i'd offer you 2 thousand right now for it, without even seeing it. But les pauls aren't the way to go, man. Get a PRS......and rock on.
According to the Blue Book of Guitars 2011 Edition.
The LP Deluxe Gold Top was made 1971 thru 1975 with mini humbuckers and full sized humbuckers were optional. The Deluxe model additionally has some different features that other Les Paul models. Like a 3 piece Mahogany/Maple body, a 13" x 17.25" x 2" body size and a slightly wider headstock.
To my findings as of 2011 the value in 98% condition can be from $3575.00 to $4125.00
Currently value as of 2013 could be 10% to 20% more.
