We went and looked at one in fair condition the other day a 1991 with title and 3000 miles many of which were offroad it was worth about $650.

That is a 1970 K0 CT70. Serial numbers 100001-200000 were used for 1970 models.
They dim at idle speed because the headlight is run off of the stator, not the battery. At lower engine speed, the rotor is spinning slower and therefore generating less electricity. Most vehicles run the lights off of the battery, and all of the charge out of the generator or alternator recharges the battery, but not the CT70. The tail lights and some accessory lights run off the battery on the ct70.
I just spent $450 in canadian dollars for a bike I couldnt even go see. It looks like its in good shape, but if not I fix it.
Remove battery box and wiggle it right out remove the air breather first the lines are under it good luck
