That changes every day, so any specific value posted here would be out of date almost immediately. Check a site such as kitco.com for the current price of gold, divide by 4, and then add about 10% to get the value of an uncirculated specimen. Proofs, as noted in the earlier , are worth perhaps another 10% above that.

"Walking Liberty"

It sounds like hair-splitting but these coins use what's called the standing Liberty design inspired by Augustus St. Gaudens' famed double eagle coins a century ago. The Walking Liberty design appears on 1916-47 half dollars and is repeated on modern 1 oz silver bullion pieces issued since 1986.

250 dollars. With a W mint mark (proof) 275 dollars. Not worth as much if circulated. If made from unpollished proof dies, 800 dollars. Lucky!
