The Sportco 87A rifle did not have a good reputation for reliability. Being tube fed the rifles reliability depended upon correct timing of the cartridge lifter assembly in relation to the velocity of the bolt upon it's return to battery. These rifles are now on the restricted list in Australia - so if you live in Australia the value of a heavily restricted rifle that has a reputation of unreliability is very little. The rifle may have some collectors value due to the fact that so many thousands of them were destroyed in the Australian Government's gun buyback of 1996.
