Depending on model {1860 colt, 1858 Remington etc} and condition, values can range from $100 up. The best way to determine actual value is to search the on-line auctions, such as gun broker and auction arms or even proxibid, enter your details in the search and see what is selling and for how much. You can also search the archives and or sold items to get an idea of what your gun is selling for. Another place to look is The blue book of modern black powder values, available from midway USA and blue book publications as well as many of the other hunting and firearm stores. Also available to NRA members on - line for free on there web page. That will give you an idea of the general value. Guns tend to have some regional value too, say a Thompson Center Seneca may be worth a bit more in the north east than in the mid west, and a Ruger old army may sell higher in the northwest than the east coast. Don't forget condition has allot to do with value, and with black powder the bore is king. You may have a gun worth for example $500, but the same gun with a bad or rusted bore may only be worth $150 so compare apples to apples.
not likely anyone keeps data on re-pro black powder pistols................
The Navy revolver was not .44 caliber (it was.36 caliber), and was not made in 1843. Without seeing the gun, will tell you it is likely you have a reproduction of the Colt revolver made in Italy by Pietta. You will need a hands on appraisal by an experienced dealer or collector. Modern day reproductions are in the $200 range, depending on condition. PS- Ormsby invented the machine that performed roll engraving. While he was an engraver, his actual engraving was for printing plates for bank notes. Not guns. We have been asked about a revolver with THAT serial number at least 5 times, reinforcing the belief that it is a reproduction.
Yes. This numbering series were for bi-fold wallets manufactured in Italy. Gucci has varied number system for the Date Stamp and Serial number.
With a letter in the serial number, I doubt if it is a genuine Colt. Probably manufactured in Italy sometime in the 1960s or 1970s.
35-100 USD or so

This is probably a replica revolver produced in Italy.
