I have a single bottle of the 1985 and have been trying to find the value also. According to this web site http://www.winemenu.net/List.asp?T=3&ST=37 the 1978 version is worth $125/bottle but I have been unable to find the 1985.

What is the value of a 75cl bottle of Baron Philippe De Rothschild 1982 Mouton-Cadet?

1983 Mouton Cadet is worthless and undrinkable at this stage. it should have been consumed by 1988 or 89 tops. Current vintage would retail anywhere between $7 and $12 USD, depending on the region/state and the merchant's markup. While it was orignally fashioned by Baron Rothschild (from Mouton Rothschild, hence the name) decades ago, that is really where the similarities end, as Mouton Rothschild is a First Growth Bordeaux specifically from the Pauillac appellation, commanding prices ranging from the low hundreds to the thousands, depending on vintage. Mouton Cadet is sourced from all over Bordeaux. Because the vintage was a favorable one for most of Bordeaux (but by no means topping '82 or '86, except for Margaux) it could be fun to display on your mantelpiece as a conversation starter!

What is the value of a Chateau Mouton Baronne Philippe de Rothschild 1985?

Even though Mouton Cadet is a well known wine and people enjoy drinking it all over the world, it is not one that gains in value like one of the other Rothchild wine named Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Mouton Cadet is a good wine for everyday drinking while Chateau Mouton Rothschild is a collectible. If you were to buy a bottle of 2007 Mouton Cadet it retails for under $10. Here are some wines from the same winery that may gain a value based on factors such as: Proper storing conditions, lack of oxidation and a suitable ullage (ullage is the level of liquid inside of the bottle, the higher the level the better)level. If you come across a bottle of 1959 Mouton Rothschild (not Mouton Cadet) the price based on the factors above could go for about $2000-$40000 per bottle.

Who is lord Rothschild?

There is no single Lord Rothschild. The Rothschild family came to economic power when Napoleon was defeated by the UK (and others). Having received word of Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo, word was spread in the UK that Napoleon had indeed won, plundering the entire British market to near worthlessness. The Rothschild family then bought up a large majority of the entire British market, which returned to real value after true news of Britain's victory returned to England a day later.

What is the definition of a Baron?

A baron is a title provided to an individual to show their honor. This is often based on hereditary value within the family. This is the lowest title used in the noble system of Europe.

What is the most expensive egg ever?

At the time of this answer, it would be the Rothschild Egg, which is a Faberge decorative egg, and also a clock. If one of the missing Faberge eggs ever were to show itself, I believe that egg would surpass the Rothschild in value. The Rothschild Egg sold for £8.9 million at auction in November of 2007. That being said, keep in mind that beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder. A decorative egg may only be worth 1 million, but someone may pay upwards of 8 million or more if the egg itself had significant or sentimental value to them.

How much is the cost of a bottle of beer?

There is no average price. Prices on wine vary greatly. You can get a Yellowtail magnum for $9.99 at your local liquor store, or a bottle of the latest vintage of Lafite Rothschild for over $1,000. There is twice the wine in a bottle of Yellowtail. However, if bought at the right price the Lafite Rothschild is a tremendously better value than the Yellowtail. This is because the Yellowtail will remain at $9.99 forever. The Lafite Rothschild on the other hand will peak within 5 - 10 years. Once the Rothschild peaks the value will most likely go up. As long as you keep the Rothschild bottle in an ideal temperature from day 1, you would most likely be able to sell that bottle for two or three times more than you purchased it for. This is because the Rothschild is an exceptional wine made to get better as time goes on. You are guaranteed that Rothschild will produce wine throughout the ages. The Yellowtail was made to drink at will.

What is value of 1997 mouton cadet bordeaux wine?

Mouton Cadet wine from any year will not have much of a value since it is a cheaply produced wine meant to drink immediately, if at all. Had you asked the question about Mouton Rothschild, and particularly about the 'miracle year' 1982, it would have been more interesting. Mouton Cadet wine was an invention to appeal to the masses, with a low price and an interesting name.
