I've seen them on Craigslist for $25 with a case. I think these don't have a high price because they're not as functional as full-featured self-correcting electrics (e.g., IBM Wheelwriter 2) and not as decoratively attractive as earlier manual models (e.g., Olivetti Valentine).

For working Studio 44s, prices start at around $25. A typewriter in really wonderful condition could potentially fetch over $100, and much more if professionally restored. Most sell for $50-75. The case probably isn't real leather.

What is the value of an Olivetti lettera 22 typewriter?

If it is a Valentine with the case rubbers intact and made in Barcelona with the little instructions sheets it may be worth as much as $350 US. They are quite keenly sought by collectors now although at the time of manufacture 1969 they were a very slow seller due to the radical design and colour. Olivetti made a second manufacturing run made in Mexico in the 1990's and these also failed to ignite the buyers. A machine truly before it's time... Ray Murray (ex Olivetti Manager) Adelaide SA

I am not sure of the value, but from your description it sounds like a 1920s era Remington Desk Typewriter, likely oak.
