ward`s western field model 60-sb620-a need repairs
It's a Stevens 620.
Your shotgun was made for Montgomery Wards by the Savage arms Company. The Savage Model 620A and your Model 60-sb620 are the same shotgun. These Savage model 620A shotguns were made from 1926-1945.There were 66,500 shotguns made during this time span.
Made by Stevens. Value is up to $150-$175 in top condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Looking atThe GunDigest Book of Firearms Assmbly and Disassembly, it appears that western Field Model 30 SB562A is the same as a Stevens Model 520 which was made from 1915 to 1930. Very similar models of Stevens (620 and 621) were made from1927-1953. My best bet on Western Field is that it is either a Model 620 or 621. The 520 was also sold as a Sears "Ranger' model so Western Field was probably a 620 or 621. the cross reference for the SB620A Westernfield is the 620 Stevens. As long as you follow all the local, state and federal laws, yes.
