Value of SilverAs of early 2011 the spot price of silver is about $30 an ounce. That makes any US dime minted before 1964 worth at least $2. Very few of the Roosevelt dimes in circulated condition will bring more than this bullion value, but many Mercury and Barber dimes will have a higher value to collectors.

To know the specific value, more information is needed. The date, mint mark and condition will determine the coin's value. It could range anywhere from the spot value of its silver content for a common issue up to thousands for, say, a 1916-D Mercury dime in VF condition.
