Please check your coin again and post a new, separate question. The last $1 gold coins were dated 1889.

If your coin is large (38 mm) and has a spread-winged eagle on the back it's a silver dollar that's been plated with gold. The gold plating doesn't add any value; in fact it probably reduces the coin's value as a collectible because it's been altered.
