A: Usually LEDS are 1.8v but this varies from color to color and size. When a LED is bought that is when the voltage is current must be evident otherwise you need a VOM and a 9v battery and some resistors to find the voltage.

How much current flow in 1 watt bulb?

Everything Depends on the voltage supply ...... Current flow (Amp) = Watt / Voltage the Current flow will be 1 amp if voltage is 1 V the Current flow will be 0.5 amp if voltage is 2 V the Current flow will be 0.25 amp if voltage is 4 V and so on.......

When testing the 6-Pin PCIe connector with a multimeter what should the voltage read?

The 6pin PCIe connector supplies 12v DC on pins 1, 2(optional), and 3 (yellow wires). The other pins are ground.

Why is a resistor used to operate an LED?

To calculate the current through an LED, use the following formula Current = (Source_voltage - Led_voltage_drop)/Resistance Now if you didn't use a resistor, the you only have the resistance in the wire, which is very small (eg .001 ohm). So if you have for instance a 9V battery, and a 2.1 volt drop across the LED, the resultant current would be so high, it would destroy the LED. We put a resistor in to lower the current to an acceptable range (often 20-30ma)

What is the forward barrier potential of led?

Conventional LEDs are made from a variety of semiconductor materials, and radiate at different wavelengths all the way from infrared to ultraviolet. Their forward voltage drops range from about 1 volt to 6 volts, depending on the materials used. Any bias greater than the diode's forward voltage drop illuminates the device.

How many watts does 100 ohms equal?

Need the voltage or current of the circuit. And the type of lamp (bulb)--is it incandescent, fluorescent, LED, discharge? Also need to know the temperature--the resistance of a tungsten filament changes by a very large amount from ambient temperature to hot/operating temperature.
