It is hard to say what the orange warning light transit symbol on the left side is. It would depend on the year, make, and model of the vehicle. Most vehicles have a users manual that have a listing of the symbols to tell the user what each warning light is for.
with experience of other fords i have done, the symbol is a duel mass flywheel fault when the flywheel is at fault it sends the wrong signal from the crankshaft sensor hence the cog shaped orange warning light on the dash.
The orange coil light on the Transit dash is the glow plug pre heat warning symbol, you should wait for it to extinguish before attempting to fire the engine, it also acts as a warning lamp (when it flashes/stays illuminated when engine running ) to say that you have fault/error codes in the vehicle diagnostic system that need reading. At present Transit 2000- diagnostic errors can only be accurately read by the Ford diagnostic system. Snap-on, Laser etc. systems can read some info but it will not be accurate.
Depends what symbol is on it. Could be Glow plugs or no fuel in tank light
If you are referring to the blinking orange dashboard warning light - from your description(?) it sounds like it might the tire low pressure alarm.
