What is the working principle of a condenser in thermal power plant?

It condenses the spent working fluid from the turbine output back to a liquid before it is recycled back into the steam generators of the power plant. This increases operating efficiency. Usually the condenser operates by running the working fluid through a network of pipes inside a tower. Water mist is sprayed on the pipes to cool them and an updraft causes a vapor cloud to exit the top of the tower.
