There is no such thing. However the United Nations offers national governments a chance to sign up to some international laws or commitments.

There is the International Criminal Court which has some international powers. Not all countries accept their authority however. The US helps fund the court but will not let any American be tried in that court.

Countries may work together to tackle a specific topic. Such as a financial crisis or rules to govern the use of the high seas (a major issue at the moment).

-According to other sources, it is called the board of commissioners. There has to be a name or else the question wouldn't be on my study guide....
