For a 2000 you still have the 5S-FE motor I believe, which would be 15mm. If you have a 1zz-FE, probably 1/2 in or 17mm.

I think the calipers are attached with 14 mm bolts.
Changing your own front brake pads can save hundreds of dollars. Tools needed for the job are a jack, the brake pads, lug wrench, socket wrench, and brake fluid.
To replace the brake pads on a Toyota Tercel a jack is needed. Some other tools that will be used are a socket wrench, screwdriver, lug wrench, and a pair of pliers.
