2000
It it's year 2000
1990
1994.
about 25 to 35lbs depending on the year.
The 10th digit is the year code. L is the 10th digit and stands for 1990.
There is a serial number stamped on the engine (e.g. E112E-****) that may help. Maybe you can contact Yamaha with that number for an age? Or you can just search yz125 on bikepics.com and just find the year that looks like yours.
i have a 2006 and i got clocked at 89mph. I'm sure 1 year isn't a big difference.
It should if they are the same year but I would go to bikebandit.com and check out the diagrams on there just to make sure before you put time and money into it.
You are missing a number or letter. The vin should be 17 digits. If the 5 is the 10th digit then it's a 2005.
they go by size not year
When you need to, if you seize it or notice low compression, its time for a rebuild, otherwise ride and enjoy it. When I raced, I would usually get a whole season out of an engine, but that was abusing it for a whole year.
The tenth character of the VIN is the year character
