This is a great idea to keep gas prices within reason...
It is based on the principal of a bundle of sticks !!! you can break one stick easily but put a bunch together & you can not break them.

The oil companies have manipulated price for the last few years "way out of control".
The "experts" will blame the Chinese, the Saudis, OPEC, repairs, storms, Nigerian rebel attacks, fires, etc.. but the truth ???
Low investment in refineries, keep the supply close to demand, use the media to their advantage.
Here is what happens..
Station A is what is called a "FLAGSHIP STATION"...these stations are mostly "branded" stations carrying a major brand....
The Flagship station is ordered to go up .20 cents a gallon usually right after a gas delivery.
Station B, C, D, E, etc.. in the same neighborhood see this and then RAISE THEIR GAS .20 per gallon.
Remember, these other stations are already dispensing paid for gas.....so
A profit of .20 is made on every gallon by everyone.
These increases by the Flagship company are usually preceded by a media event... at this time, their reason is the war in Gaza...
NOTICE, HOW A BARREL OF OIL IS STILL IN THE FOURTIES (DOLLARS) but gas rose here over .50 cents a gal in a month.
Draw the line @1.99 is simple.
Hit them in their pocketbooks... BUY NOTHING ! NOTHING BUT GASOLINE in their stations when gas is over 1.99.
If a thief robbed you, would you say to him, "wait a minute, here is an xtra $100 that I have in my shoe "????
NO !...So why pay these manipulators even one penny more than necessary?
Support your local supermarkets for your cigarettes, pop, news papers, coffee, snacks...
