A two stroke engine means that the piston makes two strokes to complete a firing cycle. Air and fuel is introduced into the cylinder through intake ports in the cylinder wall. Exhaust gasses are expelled through other ports in the cylinder wall. These ports are opened and closed by the piston moving up and down. When the spark fires the fuel it forces the piston down. On the way down the exhaust port is opened and exhaust gasses leave the cylinder. As the piston continues down it opens the intake port and allows fresh air and fuel in. On the way back up the piston closes off the ports and compresses the new air and fuel charge and the cycle starts over again. One down stroke and one up stroke = two strokes. For a better answer see commercial website howstuffworks, they also have an animation which clarifies beyond doubt what it is and how the two stroke technology is different from a four stroke technology
a two stroke cycle said that two stroke of the piston to complete firing cycle
Two stroke engines are lubricated by mixing special two-stroke oil in with the petrol.
It is a two stroke...
You can use four stroke oil for a (very) limited period in a two stroke engine in an emergency. However it is not formulated for two stroke engines and is not recommended.
Yes, a Vélosolex has a two-stroke engine.
yes a yz is two stroke so any yz is 2 stroke but if it has an f on the end its a 4 stroke so a yz250 is two stroke a yz250f is 4 stroke
depends if it is a two stroke or four. a two stroke will not be a four stroke may i am not sure
The fuel used for both four stroke and two stroke engines is the same: gasoline. Two stroke engines require a small amount of two stroke oil be added to the fuel.
Explain the advantages of four-stroke engine over two-stroke engine
