UMD stands for Universal Media Disc.
UMD is an optical disc format developed by Sony for its portable game console, PSP (as in PlayStation Portable) that was released in 2004.
UMD discs hold appx. 1.8GB of data and currently (February, 2005) are used only for PSP games, applications and movies although Sony has announced plans to open up the format for third party companies as well.
UMD Recognition Will Do
You have to do UMD recognition with tag force 1.
It allows you to play the UMD game.
A UMD is a Universal Media Disc

From the main menu. Go to Database, then it should be in that sub menu. If you have Yu-Gi Oh! GX 2 it will ask you to insert another disk. Insert the Yu-Gi Oh! GX first game and it will download the Egyptian God Cards to your PSP once you reinsert GX 2 UMD.
An average UMD game is about 1GB
PSP Go do not have UMD slots.
There is no such thing as a 'PSP 2000 UMD'. UMDs are UMD's, they have no PSP model-specific variants.
UMD discs are the discs that a PSP uses. A UMD movie therefore is simply a movie distributed on one of these discs, for viewing on a PSP.
The PSP Go does not have a UMD reader, you cannot play a UMD game on it.
You can download a DLC or add on to a game and use it to play with the UMD game
