millilitres and litres. how can u not no that?
How can you not know how to spell 'know'?
Water volume can also be measured in fluid ounces and pints and gallons (US gallon is smaller than UK gallon).
mayb u need 2 get with the new times and start spelling fonically who care bout us and UK Aussie all the way :)
Not new times at all. In Australia (note capital letter - don't say it doesn't matter - look at 'us' which could be 'USA' or could be plural of 'me') in the early 1970s they wanted to try spelling all short 'e' sounds as 'e' but realised the confusion possible when referring to 'The Works of Chairman Mao' and 'The Holy Bible' - both could be described as 'the little red book'! Also confusion with 'know' (as in brain power) and 'no' (as in 'negative').
A beaker is used to measure volume using water displacement.
a graduated cylinder
A graduated cylinder is used to measure the volume, or capacity of water. Or to just measure Water.
I think it is used a massmeter. Instead, you can enter in a tank full of water, get out of the tank and measure the water left in it. Eureka ! +++ That tangle refers to measuring the volume of a body - a human one here, it seems - by displacement, not mass. You measure mass with a "balance" or "scales".
Overflow can measure the volume of an object that is fully submerged.
liters
To measure volume
The basic way is you take the volume of the water before you put the object in the water, then you measure the volume of the water and object.
The unit typically used to measure the amount of water in a fish tank is liters (L) or gallons (gal).
Litres is used to measure volume.
Pints
mL, L, cm3, m3 are all SI units that can be used to measure the volume of water.
