C-LECT-CHOKE
The 12 gauge pump Western Field shotgun, M550ABD with a c-lect choke is valued at $200 in good condition. It is valued at $100 in fair condition.
Many of the Mossberg bolt action shotguns used a removable choke, not an adjustable. Sold under the name C-Lect-Choke, this was an external choke that could be unscrewed with a special wrench, and a different choke screwed into its place.
C-lect choke is an adjustable choke system that Mossberg implemented on their shotguns pre-1977. After 1977 they went to the accu-choke system. The choke is adjustable between Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. It is, however, not recommended for use with steel shot.
-- Adjustable Choke -- Unfortunately, the adjustable choke is almost certainly an add-on which greatly hurts any collector value the gun may have had. In typical condition for a pre-war A5, with the added choke, value is around $350-$450. sales@countrygunsmith.net

These were made for Montgomery Ward by Mossberg. The C-Lect choke is an adjustable choke that is changed by screwing the outer tube in or out. If it does not turn with a full grip of the hand, fouling and crud may be keeping it from turning. Soak overnight with a good penetrant (I am partial to one called KROIL) and try again. The link below will take you to the original instruction sheet for the C-lect choke (we used to call them dial-a-ducks)

Not finding that model in my references, but just about any Western Field shotgun is going up shy of $200.
You don't give us the model, so it is hard to answer the question. Assuming the gun does not have an obvious adjustable choke, the choke is probably not easily adjustable. A gunsmith can open the choke (from Full to Modified for example) or can install internal interchangeable choke tubes (costs around $125).
Mossberg 'Western Field' Model 150 .410 bore bolt- action repeating shotgun with a 24" full-choke barrel in 93% condition or better. This gun looks as if it has seen very little use. We grade conservatively, so you will be happy with your purchase! This gun is actually labeled 'Western Field' which is a store brand (Montgomery Ward's). This is actually a Mossberg 183 shotgun without the adjustable choke. A fine choice for a first shotgun, for hunting squirrels or rabbits, or for general utility use.
