These were made for Montgomery Ward by Mossberg. The C-Lect choke is an adjustable choke that is changed by screwing the outer tube in or out. If it does not turn with a full grip of the hand, fouling and crud may be keeping it from turning. Soak overnight with a good penetrant (I am partial to one called KROIL) and try again. C-lect choke is an adjustable choke system that Mossberg implemented on their shotguns pre-1977. After 1977 they went to the accu-choke system. The choke is adjustable between Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. It is, however, not recommended for use with steel shot.
