You are not describing a known variety of U.S. silver dollar. A dollar coin dated 1884 would most likely be a Morgan design, or possibly a Trade dollar. Both of these coins have the motto In God We Trust on the reverse side.
The only dollar coins to have the motto on the front would be the Peace design issued from late 1921 to 1935.
Furthermore, as you could find out from a simple search of this site or any other more general search tool, "TRVST" is NOT A SPELLING ERROR. In the early part of the 20th century it was common for artists to use the Roman alphabet in works featuring classical themes. The Roman alphabet had only 24 letters; V was both a vowel and a consonant. You had to know which from its context, the same way we use the letter Y in both roles. The same spelling is also found on quarters from 1916 to 1930, and on many buildings, medals, and paintings.
Please check your coin again and determine its date. Also check for a mint mark near the word ONE on the back - it may be blank, or there may be a small D or S. Then post a new question with that information.
No matter how you spell it (Sacagawea) it's a dollar.
1 cent Lincoln 5 cent Jefferson 25 cent Washington 50 cent Kennedy The Dollar coin will have many Presidents starting with Washington. The are also Indian dollar coins. There is also the Sacaguwea Dollar. How do you spell Sacaguwea any way?
The M causes a lot of confusion. It's not a mint mark, it's the monogram of the coin's designer Hermon A MacNeil (and yes, he did spell his first name with an 'o') The mint mark position is roughly symmetric on the pedestal on the other side of Miss Liberty: No mint mark = Philadelphia D = Denver S = San Francisco
contact a coin dealer for an appraisalCorrectionThere's plenty of information on line that will save you the cost of an appraisal (as well as figuring out how to spell it). For example, the following page shows values of various $1 notes including all the 1935 series of silver certificates that you're interested in: http://www.uscurrencyauctions.com/$1notes.htmAlso, the motto "In God We Trust" began to be added to paper money only starting in 1957 so your bill is not a printing error.
"M" is the monogram of the coin's designer Hermon MacNeil and causes a lot of confusion for people who aren't familiar with the coin. The mint mark, if there is one, is to the right of the bottom star on the opposite pillar. And yes, MacNeil DID spell his first name with an "o"!
