Not much above the value of the silver. A quarter has 0.1808 troy ounces of silve, and with silver at $16.23 per troy ounce (as of January 28, 2010), the "melt value" of a quarter is $2.93. Actually, it is probably a bit less than that, as a quarter worn enough to no longer have a visible date has probably lost some silver from wear as well.
