Elena reminds the Salvatore brothers of the Vampire that turned them-Katherine- the two have a shocking resemblance.

∙ 12y agoThe Vampire Diaries is about two vampire brothers. The brothers were born in the times of the civil war and both fell in love with a woman named Katherine. Katherine was a vampire and toyed with both of them, loving only one but dating them both. The two brothers ended up losing their vampire girlfriend and becoming vampires themselves. The show and books focus on a new girl, Elena, whom both brothers fall in love with again, twist is that she looks exactly like Katherine. It's a love trianle between humans, vampires, and siblings. All taking place in a town who has had history with vampires. So it's a love story, a sibling rivalry, a forbidden love and a vampire tale all in one. Oh and there's witches and werewolves too.
