Because it kills people! There are hundreds upon hundreds of people now dead because they or someone else was texting while driving. To text and drive is as stupid and dangerous as reading a book while driving. For a person to text, or even read a text, while driving is not only stupid, but also extremely selfish and self-centered. To think that a text message is more important than the safety or lives of others (or yourself) is as bad as, if not worse than, drinking and driving. Those who text while driving are playing Russian Roulette, but they are also forcing others to play, too. So for all of you who don't care if you get killed, please find another way to do it - a way that won't take others to the grave with you.

Using a cell phone while driving is a distraction. Even a simple conversation divides your attention. This means you will be less likely to respont to a hazard in time to avoid a crash. Other tasks such as texting, which require you to take your eyes off the road, are even worse as you cannot sea, for example, if someone has stopped in front of you.
My bet it is the spark plug wires or spark plugs or rotor cap if it has one. If the wires are going bad, they are worse "under load" (while driving).
Assuming you are talking about driving. Specifics are really unknown but a good educated guess would say our brains are hardwired to do two kinds of thinking 1. latent thinking and 2. active thinking. The active focuses on what you are aware of the most, like talking to your friends on the phone. The latent thinking does the driving, thus in the event of an accident, your brain must shift the active part of itself from talking on the phone to driving, and all this in, potentially, a fraction of a second.
You could crash your car - killing yourself. Worse - you could kill someone else !
