Your timing is out of whack. Whats happening is the piston is still on its up stroke with the intake valve open when the combustion is starting. That's whats causing the knocking and backfiring. Does it only do this at startup? Does it run? You should get a timing light on her and fix the timing.
Did you just change the spark plugs recently and maybe got them in the wrong spot.If not,Could be mistaken, but believe the advance and retardation of timing is controlled electronicaly, and that unit runs about 200 dollars or more.
timing or carb
get the lifters checked.
Either incorrect firing order or way to much advance in the timing.
check or change the spark plugs & wires
It knocks because whoever did it-did it wrong!
Most likely you did not align properly the mark, it causes the engine to have wrong timing as result the engine knocks.
There is nothing wrong as such, with Delta. However, as with all airlines, it is not very profitable and struggles when fuel prices fluctuate wildly. It is expanding its International routes and so is not doing too badly.
Sounds like a worn ball joint.
A meander. <-------NovaNet wrong your answer miss or mister novanet ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The absolutely best answer is "a delta " cause a delta is a n accumulation of sediment formed where a stream enters a lake or ocean....:-)hismejohn
Sounds like your timing is off
Check the crankshaft sensor. Also check the timing and timing belt. The backfiring indicates that the engine is firing at the wrong time.
Check the timing.
