More than likely the coil is bad. A spark occurs when the power to the coil turns OFF. Ignition points or the ICM breaks the voltage when it's time to fire a spark. Just having voltage to the coil isn't enough.
First thing to do is check your power steering fluid level. If it is full, and that does not fix your problems, check all of your power steering lines and make sure there are no kinked/pinched lines. If none of this fixes it then you should have it looked at by your local mechanic. If none of the above strategies fix it, then there is a slight chance that your Pwr Steering pump is bad.
Check for a blown fuse

YOUR CAR WILL RUN IF IT IS NOT YOUR CAR WILL NOT RUN!!!!! if you mean my car won't run and is it the distributor, please check to see if your plugs have spark. If not, then no it is not working. But, none the less if the distributor is shot, don't be a tight wad. The most expensive distributor cap I have ever seen was $28.00. However, the distrbutor shaft itself, if it isn't working, that means your motor has siezed. IF your coil isn't working first check to see if its getting voltage. If it is replace the coil. If it isn't then you got a wiring problem. That could be caused by a number of problems. Note when checking a coil there are proper procedures for checking it. Basic simple test for checking it from a repair manual will help isolate the problem. Can't go into details not knowing the make and model of your car.
2 stroke engines are for the most part are used in motorcycles, boat engines, and other small engines. There have been a few 2 stoke engines used in Automobiles but very few and none that I know of at this time. None of the 2 stokes used in these applications even have a battery. All are started manually and no battery is needed. They use a magneto to supply electrical power to the engine.
Bad coil?
get a new coil. a coil on an engine is designed to take a little power and make it into BIG power. also check wires and connections going to coil. your problem sounds like the coil though. good going in, nothing coming out. there's your problem.
Power going into the pack and none coming out of it. Also a cracking sound as it shorts out.
dodge 360 getting fire to coil none from dist
None -inside the coil
There is none. The coil is inside the distributor.
Needs to be replaced.
Failed coil/plug wire.
mine does the same thing. no clue!
Maybe With out make model and year info here is a back ground answer. Most Modern Electronic Ignition systems operate by controling the ground for the ignition coil. These ground conections are "Common" or all hooked together. If there is no ground for the coil, there is a good chance none of the ignition is grounded correctly.
