more then likely its your Power Steering!! Either the fluid is empty, or for some reason u dont have a power steering pump? It should be located on your firewall in a white plastic cup!

what kind of car? if you turn an older car to hard the vacum usually to the booster is the problem

It shouldn't unless you're turning too sharply. You might be low on gas. There might be something mechanically wrong with your car.

Turn you battery round the right way and it might.. :)
I would guess the battery. If your radio, air, etc will still work and the engine will just not turn, it may be your starter
