My 1995 Nissan Quest is acting really strange. It is acting like its either misfiring or not getting enough gas and wants to cut out on me and it jerks sometimes hard. What could it be. I put new plugs and wires in, and just replaced the distributor cap and rotor for the distributor cap.
If the valves are incorrectly adjusted it will hurt performance.
Engine temperature sensor? Vacuum leak?
If the rpm's are erratic it could be the throttle position sensor. It is a cheap and easy repair.
it can be if you keep driving your car like that. could end up buying a new engine.. it could be a crack cylinder FIX ASAP!!
Rule of thumb: Open needle valve 1-1/2 turns and start the engine, let it warm up then slowly rotate needle valve clockwise until engine wants to stall then rotate needle valve counterclockwise until engine wants to stall. Set the valve in between the two extremes and fine tune from there for best setting.
your engine will stall. When you try to restart the engine, it will stutter and stall again.
Sounds like your timing is off
Several things can cause a vehicle to run poorly and the engine to stall or hesitate. A problem with the choke, spark plugs, fuel pump, or fuel filter can cause engines to hesitate or stall.
does my 1996 pontiac ga stall out in park
No.
Yes
Check the temperature sending unit (tells ECM what the engine temp is).
