What is wrong with 1994 Geo Prism air conditioner does not work in the summer heater does not work in the winter car temp gauge does not read as overheat stays cold unless idling then it is mid range?

for starters you should change the thermostat. It sounds like it's stuck open or has been removed completely. that would explain the heat issues you're describing.
As far as the air-conditioning goes that's a completely separate issue. It could just need to be charged, but if it's the original old freon style it will have to be converted first. it could be the condenser not working or a leak in the system ... quite a few things could go wrong with AC so it's hard to tell.
