The beep is a message from your BIOS. Depending on what your BIOS is, the long continuous beep tells the problem the computer is having. Knowing what BIOS the computer has will help with figuring out the problem.

no, the Chevy Colorado seems to be the only GM Vehical that does not beep when you lock it. Read the owners manual, I have a 2005 that beeps when I lock it. It can be programed to beep and flash the lights, just flash the lights, or just beep.

When the electricity goes out, a smoke detector may make a final beep as it's capacitor is discharged, as a warning. To fix this problem you must change your differentials recommend going to JIFFY LUBE. It takes only 15-20 minutes and about $180 but its its worth it. Believe me i have had my jeep for about 10 years all ready ,and i got annoyed with the "Beep Beep Beep" sound .I Took it to many mechanics and they end up "fixing" the wrong thing.
