On mine it had a bad carbarator and water in its spark plug.
If you charge the battery and it is not working then there is something wrong with the battery. Batteries are not usually repairable.
There is something wrong with the charging system. Check the alternator and the battery to see if both are still good. Good Luck!
Try the cables from your battery and alt. Sometimes these can corrode.
Bad battery, Parasitic drain.
A new battery or one that tested good is in the vehicle and the car is still losing power. the alternator is what charges the battery while the vehicle is operating.
The 'cheapest' battery is NEVER a good idea !
my battery is good but having problems with starting
battery tests good, alternator tests good, new voltage regulator installed and still no charge to battery from altanator .
If the battery turns the engine over as it should then the battery is good.
If the alternator is good then the battery is bad.
It will naturally lose some of its power, but should still be hot enough to start the vehicle if it's a good battery, and was fully charged when stored.
Check the battery cables carefully. If you see a bulge in the cable, replace it. Check the ground cable to make sure it is tight where it is connected to the chassis. I would suspect the battery is bad even though it may appear good, especially if it is over 2 years old.
