Britain has in fact a long history of Multiculturalism. Celts were added tp by Angles, Saxons, Jutes & Vikings in times past. The Romans, French & others have all settled here also. During the many years of Colonisation Britain established ties all over the world. In the 1950s for example many people came to UK from the Carribean, notably Jamaica, and in recent times from the Indian subcontinent as well as many other countries. Membership of the EU has made economic migration much easier and people are able to move to where jobs are.

∙ 14y agoYes, many immigrants are from former and present U.K. colonies; after the imperialists have impoverished their homelands, immigrants from colonies move to Britain seeking a better economic situation.
