The Ninety Mile Beach is on the south eastern coast of Victoria.
Well, their was this family that lived there many years ago, they were called the Mile Family. Mother Mile and Father Mile had ninety children. The Mile Family lived across the 88 kilometer beach. So, the people had spoken and decided to name this beach 'Ninety Mile Beach' in memory of the ninety children who lived there.

Despite its name, the longest beach in New Zealand is not 90 Mile Beach. It is only 55 miles (88 km) long. New Zealand's longest beach is Ripiro Beach which stretches the 67 miles between Maunganui Bluff to the settlement of Pouto at the mouth of Kaipara Harbour, on the west coast of Northland, near the town of Dargaville.
